For a child, school always represents something to be frightened of. The very mention of school puts scare among children who abhor it so much that its very name makes them cringe. But in this interesting story Samir Paleja talks about a school which interestingly is so different that the students do not feel like going back home. Isn’t it intriguing?

Like in popular blockbuster 3-Idiots where the virtue of excellence was highlighted, this school run by Madhavi Kapur too stresses the importance of excellence and therefore teaches the students in a unique way. This form of teaching is aimed at developing the overall personality of students rather than rote learning, which focuses on memorization and learning by repetition. Known as Aman Setu, the school which is made with eco-friendly materials is located amidst lush greenery of a farmhouse and offers natural surroundings to its pupils. You will be surprised to know that in this alma mater tiny tots studying in lower kg and those in class 3 &4 study together. The rationale is that children would tend to learn quicker when they see their peers studying.

It is a unique effort aimed at creating complete human beings and not only robots which our present educational institutions are unwittingly designed to produce.
